The Sacred Ecologies Global Collaboration (SEGC) aims to contribute a unitive perspective to the conversations that are currently taking place across the world in support of planetary systems change.

This perspective will:

  1. embrace the evidence of scientific breakthroughs across multidisciplinary areas of research that are now converging with ancient and indigenous wisdom traditions to support the unitive narrative and the understanding that we are one with nature

  2. act as a unifying bridge between academia, regeneration and social justice initiatives and indigenous wisdom traditions 

  3. promote new forms of relational awareness and systems-thinking that transcend binary and hierarchical thinking and that honour the sacred space between worldviews

  4. identify and endorse the key values and principles that underpin human flourishing within the context of all Earth species being able to live as one mutually sustaining community

  5. support the creation of new economic models, based on collaboration and reciprocity, guided by the cycles, patterns and principles of the natural world and promoting mutuality and prosocial behaviour

  6. support the creation of new educational models, based on the nurturing of human capacities and potential, highlighting the primary importance of early development and promoting joy, kinship and stewardship

  7. promote the importance of cross-cultural and inter-species trauma healing and reconciliation, with the expressive arts, ritual and storytelling as key components

We are living in prophetic times. Times that have been prophesied through many generations. These prophecies prepared us for these times, and now they are instructing us in these times. We must unite and listen deeply to this instruction that Mother Earth has given to Her Original Peoples. Those that are listening are carrying the seeds of a new dawn.
